Sanjib Tuladhar, managing director of Roots Fashion, said that the company launched the campaign once again this year due to overwhelming response extended by customers in the last three years when similar schemes were introduced. [break]
Under the scheme, customers will be entitled to discounts of Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,500 on purchase of brand new Adidas shoes--both ladies and gents--if they bring in used sports shoes of any brand.
“Discount of Rs 1,500 is being offered on purchase of Adidas shoes worth up to Rs 5,999 and Rs 2,500 on purchase of shoes that are priced above Rs 5,999,” said Tuladhar, adding that the offer is valid only on exchange of sport shoes and not sandals, high heels, flats or party shoes. The offer is valid for one month beginning Wednesday.
Roots Fashion said the campaign was launched as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The company, in the past, had donated old shoes collected from similar campaigns to Karnali Rural Promotion and Social Development Park and Maiti Nepal.
This year, the company is planning to donate old shoes collected from the campaign to Maiti Nepal.
“A handover ceremony will be organized upon conclusion of the campaign where Roots Fashion representatives will hand over the old shoes to CNN Hero and founder and executive director of Maiti Nepal, Anuradha Koirala,” Tuladhar said.
