Those promoted include 28 from the Nepal Police, 19 from the Armed Police Force (APF) and seven from the National Investigation Department. Home Minister Bhim Rawal and State Minister for Home Rizwan Ansari had finalized the list of the promoted officers late Sunday evening.
Sources said the officers winning US Diversity Visa were denied promotion even as they were senior to the promoted ones.
