KATHMANDU, June 17: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Bina Kumari Rai for allegedly obtaining a job using forged academic certificates.
According to the CIAA, Rai had been working as an assistant staff member at the Early Childhood Development Centre operated by Jana Bhawani Secondary School in Hilihang Rural Municipality–7 of Panchthar district.
Fake educational certificates, fake trainer
The anti-graft body stated that documents used by Rai were found to be fake. CIAA spokesperson Suresh Neupane said that both her Grade 8 and School Leaving Certificate (SLC) credentials were confirmed to be forged, prompting the filing of a case.
She will face action under Section 16(1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002.
