According to the District Police Office, the police team clashed with racketeers while they were ferrying marijuana towards Birjung using the locals. Some porters were injured during the clash.[break]
Police made firing for five times in order to take the porters under control. But the racketeers fled the scene after firing.
Similarly, another police team is mobilized to search the absconded smugglers, the police added. Meanwhile, the police in Pyuthan district have made public a woman involved in the supplying charas today.
The woman held with 3.18kg charas was Kushma GM from Shivgadhi VDC-3 of Kapilvastu.Police arrested her at Bhrigu bazaar while she was going to Ghorahi, Dang from Sulichaur of Rolpa by a bus (Na 2 Kha 1598).
It is the first time in the district police held a person involved in smuggling of charas.A team led by police inspector Krishna Bahadur Karki held the woman Friday afternoon.
