The bombs were taken to Basenidhap, Bharatpur to defuse, Bharatpur army chief Jyoti Nanda Mahat said.

The Nepal Police has started providing security to the Maoist party office in Chitwan following dispute between the Unified CPN (Maoist) and newly-formed CPN-Maoist over the possession of the party office.

The two groups had clashed on June 30 due to internal debate between them on the issue of the use of party office at Bharatpur municipality-6, Krishnapur.[break]

Following the incident police have set up a camp within the party office by banning the entrance of supporters of both the sides for the security of the office.

A 25-member team headed by Sub Inspector has been deputed for the security of the office, said Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) at District Police Office, Rabi Poudel.

Police will take up the responsibility for providing security to the office till the internal dispute of the party settles, he added.
