2 more die due to cold in Mahottari

GAUSHALA, Jan. 7: Two more people died in a village in Mahottari district Sunday night due to the freezing cold.



The deceased have been identified as Ramasheshwor Sah, 55, and Raj Kumaridevi Mandal, 50, of Bajarahi village, according to family members.



They were found dead at their homes this morning. It is said they died due to hypothermia following cold wind and thick fog.



With this, the death toll due to cold in Mahottari district this year has reached 20.



The death toll climbed to 20 after 17 persons lost their lives over two weeks´ period and three persons in the past four days.
