POKHARA, Dec 14: Twelve people, including five women and an infact, were confirmed dead in a bus accident in Sarangkot, Pokhara on Monday morning. Three dozens others were injured in the accident.
The accident happened when the passenger bus of registration plate Na 3 Kha 6286 heading towards Pokhara from Kaskikot fell approximately 50 meters down off the road at Sarangkot.[break]
District Police Office spokesperson Biswa Raj Adhikari confirmed that 12 people have died in the incident. Those who died in the incident are Gopal Giri, Gopi Sunar, Girimaya Sunar, Shiva Giir, Sudarshan Shrestha, Bimala Karki, Mina Karki, Situ Tripathi, Tej Bahadur Karki, Krishna Bahadur Thapa, Kapil Mani Timilsina, Man Buja Nepali and Bimala Timilsina, all of Kaski district.
Condition of 13 injured are critical. The injured are being treated at the Western Regional, Manipal Teaching, Charak and Fewacity Hospital.
