The first prize carried a cash prize of 1500 US dollars including a letter of appreciation and KIMFF memento.
The documentary film by Tseten that follows the recruitment process of Nepali youths into the British Gurkha regiment also won the audience award.
Likewise, ´Art of Freedom´ by Wojciech Slota and Marek Klosowicz of Poland and ´Nomadic Nights´ by Marianne Chaud was declared the second and third best in the international competitive category.
In the national category, ´Kadamandu´ and ´Hari´ won first and second prize of Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively.
The 12th edition of KIMFF concluded here today with a special screening of ´Soongava´, dance of the orchids and ´ Himalayan Gold Rush´ a documentary by Eric Valli.
The five-day event orgnized by Himal Association screened 62 short films, documentary, fiction and animations from filmmakers in 28 different countries.
