Shah reached Chitwan on Thursday morning with his bodyguards and friends. Before his appearance, Shah rested at the office of assistant Chief District Office.
His supporters chanted slogans outside the DAO demanding the dismissal of the case against him. He was released on bail of Rs. 10,000 after he was arrested in Pokhara for allegedly firing an unlicensed pistol after a confrontation with Rubel Chaudhary – a Bangladeshi citizen and the son-in-law of Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala.
According to Phadindra Bhandari, Shah will visit Hetauda before leaving for Kathmandu.
Earlier in the morning, his supporter gave him a welcome. A 26-member committee was constituted for his welcome under Shivaji Pant.
