Shrestha, 34, was kidnapped from Bogatiya village while he was returning home from work. Tarai Janatantrik Party´s Banke-Bardiya in-charge Adarsha had informed mediapersons of Shrestha´s killing over the phone.
Police had searched for Shrestha immediately after the news and found his body at Indrapur-4. Shrestha, who hailed from Pyuthan, was secretary at Sitapur VDC for the past five years. He is survived by a son and a daughter.
Banke´s police chief Ram Chandra Dhakal said search for his killers is underway.
