SIRAHA, March 2: Two persons died and one was injured in a collision between vehicles at Golbazar Municipality-3 in Siraha last night.
A bus (Lu 2 Kha 1085) and a motorcycle (Sa 5 Pa 4759) coming from opposite directions collided along the East-West Highway. The accident claimed the lives of Santosh Mahato, 37, and Aman Raya, 20, of Dhangadhimai Municipality-8.
The bus was heading to Bhairahawa from Dharan, while the motorcycle was travelling east from Golbazar. Seriously injured in the incident, Mahato and Raya breathed their last while undergoing treatment at a local health facility, according to Police Inspector Sudhan KC.

Dhiraj Mandal was also injured in the incident. All three were riding the motorcycle, police said. Mandal is currently receiving treatment in Biratnagar.
The bodies have been kept at the Lahan-based Ram Kumar Uma Prasad Province Hospital for post-mortem.
Police have impounded the bus and taken its driver into custody for further investigation.
