Thunderbolt kills one, injures nine in Lamjung

LAMJUNG, March 27: A person was killed and nine injured in separate incidents of thunderbolt in Lamjung on Friday night.



Sixty-five-year-old Resham Bhujel of Gaunsahar- 1 died when lightening struck him while he was closing his house door following rainstorm. Other six persons of the same locality have also sustained injuries in the incident.[break]



Similarly, thirty-three- year-old Indra Bahadur Suyal of Chandisthan- 5 has severely been injured in the lightening-caused incident. The part below his waist has totally been burnt by thunderbolt, said the Lamjung District Police Office. He is undergoing treatment at Lamjung Community Hospital.



Likewise, thirteen- year- old Some Tamang and seven-year-old Bishnu Tamang, sons of Bhim Lal Tamang of Pachok VDC- 3 have been injured after being struck by lightening. The injured are undergoing treatment at Gainda-based primary health center.



The lightening completely damaged the house of Tamang, killing his cattle as well.



Meanwhile, the wall of Laligurans Primary School based in Chargaun of Bhonje-2 collapsed and roof was blown away during the wind occurred on Friday night.
