KATHMANDU, March 21: Nepal Gen Z Front Coordinator Rakshya Bam has urged Prime Minister Sushila Karki to publicly release the report on the events of the Gen Z movement, calling for clarity and accountability.
Her appeal comes amid allegations in Maitighar, where victims of the movement accused her and other activists of misusing their position under the banner of Gen Z activism.

On social media Saturday, Bam thanked Prime Minister Karki for leading the country through a complex political situation and successfully holding elections. She also highlighted the harassment and accusations that Gen Z activists have faced both on the streets and online.
“Although the leadership was entrusted to uphold the constitution and guide the country through a crisis, activists have faced continuous scrutiny and abuse,” she said, stressing that the government must respond by publicly releasing the commission’s report.
Addressing the Prime Minister directly, Bam wrote: “Tell me if my hands are stained with blood or not; I want to know. Did I set fire to the Singha Durbar or not; I want to know. Am I being manipulated by someone; I want answers to all these questions.” She also demanded clarification on how the peaceful movement turned violent, who ordered the shooting, and whose hands were responsible for the fire at Singha Durbar.
The government had earlier formed a fact-finding commission, led by former Supreme Court Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki, to investigate the September events of the Gen Z movement and alleged repression by authorities. The commission has submitted its report to Prime Minister Karki.
While officials have said the report will be processed after the new administration takes office, Bam and other Gen Z activists are pressing for its immediate release. A few days ago, she was publicly questioned about the movement, adding urgency to calls for transparency.
