Six families displaced by landslide

UDAYAPUR, Aug 7: Six families were displaced in Khotang by landslide brought on by incessant monsoon rain. The landslide damaged three houses in remote Dhurchim VDC and three more in Dhitung VDC on Thursday night forcing the families to flee to safety.



The displaced families are currently in the district headquarters seeking help from the administration.[break]



Secretary of Dhitung VDC Chandra Bahadur Kattuwal said he had recommended District Administration Office to provide relief and support to the victims. Property around Rs 700,000 was destroyed by the landslide.
