South Siders qualified for the semifinal as pool B runner-up and will next face GoldenGate. Siders took the first quarter 25-12 for a 13-point lead. Morgan bounced back in the second quarter and scored 9-16. Morgan was five points behind by half time.[break]
Morgan scored 22-23 in the third quarter and cut the lead of Siders to five points. Bijay Burja, Sanjay Byanjankar senior and Sanjay Byanjankar junior dominated the fourth quarter and helped the team take the quarter 30-21.
Byanjankar senior scored 32 points for Siders while Ayush Sing scored 17 points for Morgan that included four three pointers.
In another tight match, Golden Gate registered 93-90 victory over Premier College and advanced to the semifinal as pool A winner. Golden Gate will face Siders in the semifinal while Premier will meet NASA.
Premier had taken eight points lead in the match scoring 20-12 in the first quarter. Golden Gate bounced back in the second and third quarter as they took the both the quarters 32-22 and 26-16. Premier tried to come back into the game 32-23 in the fourth quarter but that hardly helped. Sushil Gurung scored 31 points for Golden Gate while Sadhish Pradhan scored 24 points for Premier.
In the girls´ section, Prime advanced to the final with three wins from three matches. In the last league match, Prime Sports Club defeated Golden Gate Club 39-34. With the defeat Golden Gate is out of the tournament and Premier has advanced to the final. Premier had two wins from three matches.
Prime dominated the three quarters which secured them a place in the final. Prime scored 11-5, 11-7, 15-14 in three quarters and lost the last quarter 2-8. Nayana Shakya was the highest scorer for Prime as she netted 13 points. Anisha Tulachan scored 11 points for the losing team.
