Seismological centres to go digital

KATHMANDU, April 15: All 21 seismological centres under the Department of Mines and Geology are going digital soon.

A four-member team from France on Wednesday met with Minister for Industry, Mahesh Basnet, and expressed commitment for modernizing the seismological centres.


According to Deputy Director General at the Department, Dr Som Sapkota, Minister Banset and the French team held discussion regarding modernizing all national seismological centres.

Minister's press coordinator Ajay Sharma said that during the meeting, the government of France is to provide technical support for installing digital technology for the same. RSS
