Minister Chaudhary had fired RC on January 7 appointing Dr Yagya Bahadur Bhandari to the director´s post the next day. Vice Chancellor of National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) Dr CP Maskey, however, had given RC a letter three days later asking the latter to continue his office.
RC had moved the court after the ministry gave appointment letter to Bhandari on January 12 creating a situation wherein Bir had two incumbent directors. “I was wronged by the minister. I am glad at the court´s justice,” RC said after the court´s order.
