Nepal was represented in this international pageant for the second time.

The 18-year-old, whose ambition is to become a pilot, just couldn’t stop the smile from spreading, “It was an amazing experience and I’m thankful to the organizers for giving me this opportunity. It was hectic, but it was a growing process.”

Miss India Australia Ankita Cheryl clinched the title of Miss India Worldwide 2011, with Miss India USA and Miss India Trinidad finishing first and second runner-up, respectively.

Full of praises for Shah, Deependra Ratna Shakya, executive director of Nepalese Council Pvt Ltd, marveled at her confidence.

“Despite the fact that we were rushed and there wasn’t ample time for grooming, Romi did us proud. At the risk of sounding too presumptuous, I had full faith in her and she sure did bedazzle the panel.”

An optimistic Shakya shared that Shah’s win will only boost the morale of future participants.

According to him, the 3rd Miss India Worldwide Nepal pageant will be organized on December 31 at the Army Officers’ Club, Sundhara.

The winner will represent Nepal in the 21st Miss India Worldwide pageant to be held on February 25, 2012 in Suriname, South America.
