The city is decorated with more than a dozen welcome gates and colorful decorations for the nine-day festival jointly organized by Ratnanagar Municipality and Ratnagar Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The festival has 391 stalls and the organizers hoped that more than 200,000 visitors will visit the festival.
According to Keshav Narayan Shrestha, the member of the organizing committee, similar festival last year was hugely successful in increasing the financial transaction of the city.
The festival has a special package program for agriculture promotion which has 81 stalls, according to program co-ordinator Rajendra Shrestha.
The festival also offers special package tours of various tourist destinations in the district.
