The Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ratnanagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Bharatpur and Ratnanagar Municipalities are jointly organizing the festival, dubbed one of the largest trade and investment fair in the country.[break]
The 10-day fair, scheduled to begin on Wednesday, is being held at exhibition ground in Narayanghat of Chitwan with the objective of promoting local products and bringing in investment in the region.
Utam Lal Chuke, coordinator of the festival organizing committee, said the fair will feature 472 stalls representing different organizations out of which 18 stalls are allotted to international companies. The ninth edition of the event targets footfall of 450,000 visitors.
According to Chuke, food festival, Himalayan Para Motor Yatra, rafting and motor boat safari are some of other major attractions of the event.

Coordinator of the workshop Dr Tilchandra Bhattarai said a national level workshop will also be held on the sidelines of the event. "Organized with the theme ´Invest In Mid-Nepal´, the three-day workshop will feature international keynote speakers every day who will talk on the issues ranging from hydropower to fast track lanes." Bhattarai said the objective was to lure investors to Chitwan to build mega projects.
According to organizers, representatives from Non-Resident Nepalis Association, the Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Investment Board and international experts are participating in the workshop.
