Preliminary framework for 13th five year plan underway

KATHMANDU, July 26: The government has been preparing preliminary framework of the 13th five year plan.



The works are begun with the mid-term evaluation of the three year plan, National Planning Commission Secretary Yubaraj Bhusal told RSS. [break]The past plans are being studies and will be given continuity to issues and priorities if necessary, said Bhusal.



He informed that a Three-Year Plan Mid-Term Evaluation Committee has been formed under the coordination of the Director of the National Programme of the Monitoring and Capacity Building Project and Joint Secretary of the Commission, Pushpa Lal Shakya.



Plans are to prepare extensive report on the mid-term review in six months and the 13th plan will be given final shape by the National Council meeting. As the three-year plan will run until mid-July next year, the 13th plan will be started from July 16, 2013 (Saun 1, 2070 BS).
