Political stability vital for nation building: Yadav

BIRGUNJ, Aug 18: Minister for Information and Communications, Raj Kishor Yadav, has said that political stability was a must for building a prosperous and strong nation as per the aspirations of the Nepali people.



Inaugurating a workshop titled ´Disability Rights for Hemophilia Patients´ organized by Nepal Hemophilia Society, Kathmandu, here on Saturday, Minister Yadav said that the government could not do much in terms of building a prosperous and strong Nepal due to the ongoing political transition.[break]



He said the government was sensitive as regards the protection of the rights of the people suffering from hemophilia.



Stressing that the rights of the hemophiliacs were also related to the human rights, he urged the media to play a positive role in the promotion of the rights of the people suffering from hemophilia.



President of Nepal Hemophilia Society, Birgunj, Dr Deepak Shakya presided over the program.



Fifty hemophiliacs from Itahari, Pokhara, Narayangadh, Kathmandu and Birgunj participated in the workshop.



One child in every 10,000 children is hemophiliac. In Nepal, 431 people are found to be hemophiliac. It is estimated that there are about 3,000 hemophiliacs throughout the country.
