Play with LED at Karkhana

KATHMANDU, Jan 1: Karkhana in collaboration with Women LEAD Nepal is organizing a three hours workshop titled ‘Playing with LED’ on January 5 for women engineering students to practice what they have leant in their classes. The workshop will give insights on the basic electronics by dismantling various electronic equipments and figuring out how it functions and assembling them again.



The workshop will begin with a ‘Meet and Greet’ session where participants will be introduced to lady engineers and they will share their knowledge and experiences.[break]



Karkhana, a for-profit company, aims at developing the culture of experimentation, particularly in the field of electronics and technology. Pavitra Gautam, one of the founders of Karkhana, said, “We provide a fully functioning makers’ space or a physical lab to congregate like minded people to create equipments they want.”



Women LEAD is an organization that works with girls from Kathmandu valley during their plus twos and advocates activism track of leadership, entrepreneurship, activism and development.
