ILAM, July 17: A man was killed and another seriously injured after a sharp weapon attack in Ilam.
According to police, Prakash Chapagain, 21, of Maijogmai-2, Tar Singh Gaun, died after Kiran Sherpa, 33, of Shirishe in Suryodaya-1 attacked him during a dispute at Kaji Tamang’s house in Bhalukhop, Suryodaya Municipality-1, around 10:30 pm last night.

Sherpa struck both Prakash and Niroj Chapagain, 32. Prakash died on the spot, while Niroj sustained a deep wound to his abdomen and was critically injured. The incident occurred when Niroj and Prakash were visiting their in-laws.
Police have taken Sherpa into custody and launched an investigation into the case.
