KATHMANDU, May 1 : Raju Aryal, Inspector General of Nepal’s Armed Police Force Nepal, is retiring from service from today.
Aryal is set to go on mandatory retirement from midnight Friday after completing his four-year tenure as IGP. The Armed Police Force headquarters will bid him farewell on Friday in accordance with military tradition.

Aryal completed his four-year term without major controversy. According to APF headquarters, he played a significant role in bringing the organization onto the right track during his tenure.
Following Aryal’s retirement, the government has already decided to appoint Narayan Datt Poudel as the new IGP. He will assume office from Saturday.
