In the final of boys´ section, NIMS took the first quarter by 11-5 and the second by 19-10. Host came back into the game in the third quarter as they took it by 19-5 and cut the lead to single point. [break]
NIMS fought hard in the fourth quarter and took it by 20-12 and lifted the trophy. Sandesh Tamang scored 21 points for the winning side.
Karma Gurung of the host was adjudged the most-valuable-player of the tournament. Tamang, who scored 150 points in the tournament, gave him highest scorer prize.
In the girls´ section, Pennwood lost the first quarter by 4-7 and tied in the second quarter by 4-4.
NIMS bounced back in the third quarter as they took it by 6-3 and dominated the fourth quarter by 10-1. Bina Nakarmi netted 10 points for the winning team. Srijana Khadka was named Most-valuable-player of the tournament. Dolly Tamang received highest scorer award with 80 points in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Brihaspati Vidya Sadan clinched the title of the Sixth Daffodil Cup Inter School Junior Football Tournament. With a goal from Prashant Pandey, Brihaspati defeated Deep Jyoti 1-0 in the final.
Bidhata Thapaliya and Saugat Gurung received the awards for the best goalkeeper and the best player of the tournament respectively.
