Thapa has expressed his foremost priority to work in infrastructure development of the region. Thapa said he is committed to addressing the issue of inundation in Sarlahi. He also pledged to resume construction of stalled bridge projects.
"There are problems related to canals and roads, sewage and drinking water, irrigation and electricity, agricultural storage, agricultural tools and infrastructure. A lot of infrastructure from roads to dams will have to be built and repaired. These works are related to some federal government, some state government. I will solve the infrastructure problem by coordinating with the governments at whatever level these are related to," stated Thapa in his commitment paper.
Thapa said he has prepared lists of all problems related to health, education, nutrition and upliftment of women, children and deprived community people from all 51 wards of his constituency. He assured a smooth supply of seed and fertilizer, while addressing problems of pricing of the agricultural inputs.
In his election manifesto, Thapa has planned to launch the ‘Mission Employment Campaign’ aiming to reduce the gap between skills and market, promote youth entrepreneurship and self-employment and end the compulsion of people to go for foreign employment.
Security of people living along Nepal-India border, reduction in inequality faced by the Dalit community and protection of Mithila Culture are among the priorities forwarded by NC President Thapa for the upcoming HoR elections.
