Bhaktapur District Administration Office (DAO) has started providing with the MRP service to people since last January. [break]
As many as 1,800 individuals acquiring citizenship certificates from the Bhaktapur DAO obtained passports of late, informed In-charge of DAO, Passport Section, Balaram Hanchhethu.
Altogether 1,535 service recipients were provided with passports during the period from January to mid-July, 2011. Some 243 during the month of Shrawan (July-August) and 150 during the first week of Bhadra (third week of August) received MRP, according to Dao.
Score of MRP holders saw a whopping increase with the rise on number of youths going abroad for employment and education.
Likewise, DAO Surkhet has also started issuing MRP and provided with the MRP to an applicant on Tuesday. It has ended the compulsion of people of Dang to come to Kathmandu for MRP.
At least 4,153 passport seekers had received recommendations for MRP from the Dang DAO during the past nine months, informed Dang DAO.
