Rana said confusion surfaced for five days on who was responsible or authorial body to intervene in Hasmi´s case, who would immediately arrange flight to Kathmandu and who would pay all the charges and where to admit her, during the last 5 days since Hasmi was burnt.
“There is women´s commission, women´s ministry, women cell in the prime minister´s office and many other government and non governmental bodies working for women. Who needs to come forward to rescue the victim during emergency has not been fixed yet, denying justice to the victims as Hasmi,” she said.
Speaking at the program Dinesh Adhikari, secretary at the ministry for women, children and social welfare said Hasmi´s case was a murder and the state should dig out the truth and bring the culprits to justice.
