He landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at around 9:30 am on an Air India flight. Sinha, a former Indian finance minister and senior leader of India´s major opposition Bharatiya Janata Party, is said to hold political discussions with Nepali leaders during his stay in Nepal.
Though described as a personal trip, his visit is seen with importance as it comes when the country is caught in political stalemate.
