KATHMANDU, April 2: The government has directed all three tiers of government to publish and broadcast notices and advertisements exclusively through state-owned media outlets.
In a circular issued on Wednesday, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers instructed federal, provincial, and local authorities to adopt the new measure in the coming days.

The move, according to the circular, aims to cut public spending, ensure greater uniformity and transparency in the dissemination of notices and advertisements, and strengthen state-owned media institutions.
