KATHMANDU, April 8: Gold and silver prices surged sharply in local markets on Wednesday. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), gold jumped by Rs 7,200 per tola, while silver rose by Rs 205 per tola.
Gold and silver prices remain steady
The updated price list shows hallmarked gold reaching Rs 299,000 per tola, up from Rs 291,800 per tola on Tuesday. Silver also climbed to Rs 5,025 per tola, compared to Rs 4,820 per tola the previous day.
The FENEGOSIDA said the price hike reflects international market fluctuations, which directly influence local rates.
