Gold prices rise as silver slips in Nepali market

Gold prices increased in the domestic market on Monday, while silver prices witnessed a slight decline.

KATHMANDU, May 18: Gold prices increased in the domestic market on Monday, while silver prices witnessed a slight decline.



According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold rose by Rs 800 per tola and is being traded at Rs 294,800 per tola today.

On Sunday, gold was traded at Rs 294,000 per tola.


Meanwhile, silver prices declined by Rs 20 per tola on Monday, settling at Rs 5,040 per tola. Silver was traded at Rs 5,060 per tola on Sunday, the FENEGOSIDA reported. 


In the international market, gold is being traded at USD 4,535 per ounce.
