KATHMANDU, March 28: Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has been arrested in connection with the shooting incident that took place in Baneshwor, Kathmandu, during Gen Z on September 8.
A team from the Kathmandu District Police Range apprehended Lekhak from his residence early morning on Saturday following a government decision to implement the findings of an inquiry commission led by former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki.

The commission had held Lekhak, along with former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, responsible for the incident.
The government, formed under the leadership of senior Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balen Shah, on Friday had decided to immediately enforce the report’s recommendations, paving the way for the arrest.
