All the 20 gold medalists of the championship are selected for the national team, where 15 members of the previous national team retained their position.

Ganga Devi Adhikari thrashed Nirmala Rai of Nepal Shitoryu Karate Association 8-0 to clinch the gold medal in women´s 68 kg during the championship held at a National Sports Council covered hall in Kathmandu. Mallika Thapa won gold in women´s 55kg while Armila DC clinched gold in women´s 45kg. Thapa used to contest in 45kg in previous tournament but she changed her weight category for the championship.
Digambar Prasad Pant registered 23-15 victory over Sita Ram BK of the Nepal Army in the final of men´s above-84 kg weight category, while Mukunda Maharjan beat Sagar Shahi 9-0 in the final of men´s 67 kg.
Meanwhile, Diwas Shrestha of shitoryu won men´s 75kg final. He defeated Bir Bahadur Raneni 10-2 in the final to secure berth in the national team.
Rita Karki of Nepal Army defeated Kalpana Basnet 7-1 in women´s 68 kg final and replaced the latter in the national team.
Meanwhile, Milan Nepali of the University team won gold in men´s 60kg. He will replace Binod Maharjan in the national team. Maharjan didn´t participate in the tournament as he has been planning to go to Mauritius to study. In women´s 61 kg, Sunita Maharjan defeated Amrita Shakya in the final. Maharjan will replace Sapana Malla in the national team as she defeated her in the very first bout of the championship.
Sunil Lama beat Rabindra Dahal 6-0 in the final of men´s 55kg to cement his place in the national team. Meanwhile, Bijay Lama (men´s 50kg), Bhim Bahadur Tamang (men´s 84kg) and Anu Adhikari (women´s 50kg) retained their national team berths as they clinched gold in the selection championship.
Youth and Sports Minister Ram Kumar Shrestha, National Sports Council (NSC) Vice-president Pitambar Timalsina, Member Secretary Yuvaraj Lama, Nepal Olympic Committee Member and Nepal Boxing Association President Rajiv Shrestha gave away the medals to the winners.
