Fire guts property worth Rs 3 million

KAPILVASTU, Mar 5: Property worth Rs 3 million was destroyed after a fire engulfed around 34 houses at Pachgai in Hariharpur-4, Kapilvastu on Friday afternoon.



However, no human casualties are reported so far.



The fire broke out from the house of Gopi Gupta at around 2 pm.



The primary police investigation showed that the fire broke out due to short circuit.



The rescue squads from Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police and locals battled for around two hours to control the inferno.
