Sahani´s motorcycle was knocked down by the truck at around 1 pm. [break]Sahani´s 16 year-old-son son Sanjaya, who was riding pillion, was critically injured while another pillion rider four-year-old girl Sneha, 4, has sustained minor injuries. The injured are undergoing treatment at Narayani Sub-Zonal Hospital in Birgunj.
After the incident, irate locals vandalized the truck. According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Rajendra Bista, police have arrested the truck driver, Lachhuman Yadav, 45, of Dudhara of Bihita district in Bihar state of India. “The truck hit our motorcycle from behind,” said Sanjay after gaining consciousness. Sahani was visiting his relative admitted to a hospital.
