At a regular press meet organized at party headquarters, Koteshwor, on Sunday, Spokesperson Sapkota said, "Political parties have begun concentrating on election, distribution of voter identity card along with citizenship certificate has been intensified and registration of political parties is going on. But, the date to the election is yet to be announced."[break]
According to Spokesperson Sapkota, his party chairman has initiated talks with different political parties, including the dissenting CPN–Maoist and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal to bring them to the election track.
Anyone or party objecting to the election can never be democratic, he said, challenging that those fearing to be legitimated by the people would be sidelined in the history.
He wondered why the government was staggering to take decision on announcement of election date although all political parties were supporting it.
On a different note, Spokesperson Sapkota said there was no point in making hue and cry over Lokman Singh Karki who has been unanimously recommended by the high level political committee for the appointment in the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Abuse of Authority.
Meanwhile, UCPN-Maoist leader Leela Mani Pokhrel said at a programme in Rolpa that Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML were against holding CA election.
