Deepak Bista awarded

KATHMANDU, March 1: Taekwondo player Deepak Bista who created history by winning four consecutive gold medals in the South Asian Games (SAG) was awarded a cash prize of Rs 100,001 on Monday.







Himalayan Whitehouse International College awarded him during the closing ceremony of the Whitehouse Cup (U-19) National Basketball Championship at the Dasharath Stadium. [break]



Yuva Raj Sharma, chief executive officer of the college, handed over the check and a letter of appreciation to Bista. At the program, Nepal Basketball Association also handed over Rs 55,500 to Bista for his contribution to the sports sector.
