Rajeev Kohli, joint managing director of Creative Travel Inc, said they would put focus on high-end tourists. “Since we are already working in regional level, we are hopeful that our presence in Nepal will help give a boost to regional tourism,” said Kohli.

Nepal welcomed more than 145,000 Indian visitors in 2011, a rise of nearly 40 percent when compared to arrival figures of 2010. However, majority of Indian visitors come to Nepal on pilgrimage trips and are considered budget travelers.

Officials of Creative Travel, Nepal said their focus would be on promoting Nepal´s natural beauty along with the luxury and comfort that the country provides. They are hopeful that the new venture would help increase the number of tourists from India.

“Creative Travel is a global brand. Its Nepal office will focus mainly on promoting Nepal along with extension trips to Bhutan and Tibet of China,” said Hemanta Kolakshpati, director of Yeti Holidays.

Creative Travel is mainly catering to high-end tourists from the United Kingdom and the Scandinavian region.
