Dealers say they just can´t meet the market demand as gold supply to the district has dropped to just 2 kg. Earlier, the district used to get daily supply of 5 kg of gold.
“We can´t meet the growing demand as supply of gold to the district has dropped,” Bipin Ramdam, president of Gold and Silver Dealers Association, Chitwan Chapter, told Republica.
Meanwhile, gold dealers on Sunday organized a rally in Narayanghat, demanding adequate supply of yellow metal. They also have plans to submit memorandums to Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers´ Associations, Ministry of Finance and Department of Commerce and Supplies Management on Monday.
