Mr Miguel, who oversees the pre-production of Adams’ concerts, has arrived with three truckloads of sound equipment from Delhi yesterday.
Shital Singh, Director of JPR Events briefed, “The unexpected shower will not hinder the construction of the stage. Six trucks loaded with sound systems, lights and barricades are already here.” The stage should be fully ready by Friday evening, he informed.
It was also revealed that 18 crew members, including the band members and instruments will be arriving today. Adams will be landing in the valley on Friday, February 18.
Singh stressed that all the rumors surrounding the troubled concert is baseless sensational scoop and Adams will be flying to Kathmandu, for his first ever concert in Nepal. “The cancellation of the Delhi concert was instigated by the Indian government and it has no relevancy on our gig here. In fact Nepal government has been really supportive and helpful in our endeavor,” added Singh as he expressed his gratitude towards their co-operation.
In other news, Contract Employee Association and Volunteers Coaches Committee of the National Sports Council (NSC) have reached a two-point agreement on Wednesday and have agreed to open the Dasarath Stadium premises for the much anticipated Bryan Adams´ concert.
