The accident took place when a bus (Na 1 Kha 5645) en route to Jhapa from Kathmandu hit a tractor from the back. [break]
Of the injured, condition of Bijaya Adhikari, helper of the bus, is critical, according to the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur.
Ten injured including Adhikari, who fell unconscious after the accident, have been immediately sent to Biratnagar for treatment and remaining injured are undergoing treatment at local clinic. Police have arrested the bus driver and impounded the bus and the tractor.
Meanwhile, a Bhutanese refugee was killed in a bus accident at Sanishchare-1 of Morang district along the East-West Highway, this morning. The bus bearing number plate Ko 1 Kha 511 heading to east knocked the pedestrian at around 8:30 am Wednesday, according to Area Police Office, Pathari.
Critically, injured refugee died while he was being carried to hospital for treatment.
