With the beginning of Dhangadhi, the airline´s domestic reach has extended to seven destinations across the country, according to a statement issued by the airline. The airline has been operating regional flights to business destinations such as Pokhara, Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Janakpur and Nepalgunj.
With the beginning of Dhangadhi flights, the airline also increased frequency of flights to Janakpur and Bhadrapur from Sunday. Now onwards, the airline will fly twice a day to Janakpur and thrice to Bhadrapur.
Prudential announces cash dividend
KATHMANDU, Nov 15: The 79th meeting of Board of Directors of Prudential Insurance Company Sunday decided to provide 5 percent cash dividend to its shareholders.
The company earned a net profit of Rs 10.7 million during fiscal year 2008/09, up by about 70 percent as compared to the profit reported last year, states a press release.
Premium collection by the company during the last fiscal year rose by 27 percent to Rs 137.2 million as compared to preceding fiscal year.
Kumari Bank to provide 10 pc bonus shares
KATHMANDU, Nov 15: The ninth Annual General Meeting of Kumari Bank held Sunday declared that it would provide 10 percent bonus shares and redeem the existing promoter share to 51 percent. A press statement issued by the bank said that the remaining 19 percent promoters shares will be sold to public.
According to financial performances of the bank recorded during the last fiscal year, the bank was able to increase its net profit by 49.45 percent in comparison to previous fiscal year. The total deposits by the end of the period touched Rs 15.71 billion, which was an increment of 22.9 percent compared to previous year.
Similarly, loans and advances extended by the bank also rose by 28.41 percent to Rs 11.34 billion, while the non-performing loans went down to 0.44 percent from 1.32 percent.
Goodwill announces dividend, bonus shares
KATHMANDU, Nov 15: The 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Goodwill Finance has decided to provide 12.63 percent cash dividend and bonus shares to its shareholders.
A press release issued by the company Sunday stated that per share cash dividend has been fixed at 7.63 percent while remaining 5.5 percent will be given as bonus shares.
The release further states that it was also able to generate operating profits worth Rs 26.3 million, which was 42.19 percent more than what it recorded in the previous year.
The total deposit mobilized by the company has reached Rs 1.09 billion whereas the total volume of investment and lending was Rs 997.65 billion during the last fiscal year.
