Office-bearers of the YAN, including chairman Mahesh Basnet, reached the Presidential Palace, Sheetal Niwas, and urged the President to fulfill a more decisive role for a political outlet, noting that the role from the post of patron of the constitution played by him is balanced and transparent.[break]
They also urged the President to bring all political parties, represented in the Constituent Assembly (CA) to consensus for holding local and national election within mid-May through the formation of a national consensus government among them.
Responding to a query, Chairman Basnet said they have urged the President on behalf of Nepali youth to take positive and decisive step for political and constitutional outlet.
The memorandum states that they will be compelled to launch a strong movement against the government if the government refuses to go and political uncertainty continues.
