Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities, National Indigenous Woman Forum, Nepal Indigenous Nationalities Journalists Association jointly organized the rally which was started from the National Academy and rounded various parts including Bhadrakali, Shahidgate, New Road, Ratna Park and reached to the Academy.[break]
Speaking at a function organized after the rally, Soni Lama, general secretary of the forum stressed on the need for including janajati women in policy making sector of the state through proportional basis.
Similarly, Raj Kumar Lekhi, chairman of the federation said the government for being giving less importance to the ethnic groups´ issues and urged it to be more serious.
Participants of the program demonstrated various costumes and cultural performances that reflect different ethnic groups´ culture living across the country.
