Maya Rai, wife of Lanka Rai, was found dead due to stomach injuries with a sharp weapon while the bodies of her two children--three-year-old daughter and one-and-half-year-old son--were found hanging, spokesperson of Morang Police Office DSP Uma Prasad Chaturbedi said. [break]
"We are not sure if this is a case of murder or suicide. The investigation is still underway," Chaturbedi said, "But the incident looks suspicious."
Morang Police has dispatched a nine-member police team under Inspector Tundi Raj Neupane for investigation.
The incident occurred when husband Lanka was working on their farm, police said quoting locals.
