Galo Chaudhary, 52, of Dumraha-2 was nabbed after villagers complained that she had time and again misbehaved with Budhani Thakur, 50, accusing her of practicing black magic, according to the police.
SP Bhupal Kumar Bhandari said Chaudhari would be released after making both the parties sign an agreement paper as she was not found to have misbehaved with Thakur despite beating the latter a month ago.
Chaudhary, who works as faith healer, was made to apologize by the police after the incident last month.
