Kamala Budhathoki, 45, of Biratnagar-7 collected millions of rupees from more than a dozen women luring them of an attractive interest and escaped 15 days ago.[break]
She collected money from the women saying she will invest the collected money to the businessmen of vegetables center of Biratnagar Bazaar and will give good interest after getting good profit from the money.
Bina Karki, Mira Sharma, Sarita Shah, Gudiya Shah, Ganga Sharma and Indira Upreti are among those figuring in the long list of Budhthoki´s victim list. They have given Rs. 260,000, Rs. 100,000, Rs. 100,000, Rs. 60,000, Rs. 250,000 and Rs. 500,000 respectively.
The fraud came to light after the women filed a case at the District Police Office on Monday.
According to Suma Karki, chief women cell at the police office, Budhathoki collected more than Rs. 5 million from various women and from her relatives.
