KATHMANDU, Jan 4: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that westerly winds are currently influencing weather conditions across the country.
Because of this, hilly and mountainous regions will see partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will remain mostly clear. Fog and mist have covered many parts of the Terai.

Today as well, fog and mist are likely to persist in many Tarai areas. Parts of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, along with the higher hills and Himalayan areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces, will remain partly cloudy.
There is a chance of light rain and snowfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
The Division said weather conditions will remain mostly clear in the rest of the country, though isolated places in the high hills and Himalayan regions of these provinces may see light rain along with snowfall.
